Alabama requirements

Valid hunting license

Every hunter needs a valid Alabama hunting license. Bring it — or have it on your phone — when you drop off. We verify it at the counter before we accept your deer.

Game check within 48 hours

Alabama law requires every harvested deer be reported through Game Check (the Outdoor AL app, or by phone) within 48 hours of harvest. Have your Game Check confirmation number handy.

Conservation ID

Your Conservation ID is on your license — it's how we match you and your deer, and it's how you track your deer here. It's the one number you can't skip.

Hardin's shop rules

Tag your deer

Tag each deer with your name and Conservation ID before it leaves the truck. If you bring more than one, every deer gets its own tag — they're processed individually and never mixed.

Get it on ice fast

Field dress your deer and get it cooled as soon as possible. If it's already been iced or cooler-stored, tell us at the counter — cooler deer get a discount.

Confirm at the counter

A check-in started on your phone is 'on the way' only. Your ticket isn't final until staff see the deer, confirm the details, and tag it in the shop.

Pickup when it's ready

We'll text you when your deer is ready, and you can track it any time with your Conservation ID. Pick it up promptly — cooler space is limited.

Ready when you are
